Also recognised as span of handle, is a very critical principle of arranging function of administration. It refers to the range of subordinates that can be dealt with effectively by a superior in an organization. Span of administration is generally categorized beneath two heads- Slender span and Vast span. Slender Span of administration means a single supervisor or supervisor oversees couple subordinates.
